Gearoid O'Sullivan - Goalkeeper / Fullback

Gearoid is another of the original founders of the club and Gaelic football enthusiast. Big G as he didn't know he was called, is famed for his no nonsense, hard man approach which he inflicts onto every player he comes up against.... unfortunately they are all from his own team in training. This allows a space to miraculously free up and get him a place when he is free!


Bence Zoltan - Goalkeeper / Striker

Often confused with his namesake Bence Zlotan, Z has often found himself playing in goals, at full back and up front all in the same game. Plagued by injuries last season his team mates are looking forward to his return as a permanent squad fixture.

Rob Longworth - central defender

'Canadian Rob' as he is known, since you just read this, was actually born the same time as the late Ferenc Puskas, but through the running of the club treasury duties, his popular restaurants and his family, not to mention marshalling the Celtic defence - he has managed to keep himself in tip top condition and can still show the little nippers in the team a thing or two in training.

Rob is everpresent in the Celtic backline and what he lacks in pace he more than makes up for in his reading of the game.


Jim Luby - defender

The Lubster is comfortable discussing his love of all things Coventry City Fc. Jim has unfortunately been hit with a career threatening injury at the start of this season and so will be doing everything possible to make a cameo appearance at some stage of the season.

Kieran Fahy - left midfielder

One of the original members of the Budapest Celtic team left in the squad and still a regular in the team, continues to defy logic with tireless running. So tireless in fact, that if he is brought off for a breather you can guarantee he will have some how found his way back onto the pitch subbing some poor unsuspecting guy after only 2 minutes!

Kieran comes up with a few important goals and assists and like a good wine is getting better with age.

Nigel Killeen - right midfielder

The tricky Irish winger arrived at the club 2 years ago with no children and no temper. Two years on, Niggly Nigel has 2 little'uns and a nack of snapping at the ref, the opposition and more recently his own players!

Nigel has been coming into his own this season as well as causing the defences trouble with his crossing, he has developed a left foot which has been known to score some outstanding goals.

Dang Viet Tuan (Dao) - Striker

The little Vietnamese maverick only arrived at Celtic last summer but his vigorous displays and breathtaking ability have already seen him take on almost mythical status at the club. Assisted by his trusted “translator” Vlado, Dao does all his talking on the pitch and no Budapest Celtic team is complete without “Man on fire”.

Paul Bartlett - Striker

The Meat Loaf enthusiast has reinvented himself as a ruthless hetman in his second spell at Celtic. He claims to have taught the legendary Jordi Cruyff everything that he knows. Despite holding the record of being sent off in more games than anyone else in Celtic's history, Barrllo is now the clubs top scorer and is known more for his goals than anything else.


Niels Boving - Striker

Niels 'baby giraffe' Boving is one of the stalwarts of the team. Now aged 67, he still manages to cut a shape in the attacking line with his Peter Crouchesque height proving very efficient - Not because of his heading abilities, they are non-existent, but by blocking out the sun just as the opposition keeper comes to make a save.

Unfortunately Niels has had an injury plagued season so far this year but usually chips in with his fair share of goals as well as deft flicks and touches.
